Why an MBA?
Today, more than ever before, opportunities for a business career in Russia depend on a high quality professional education. A good mind and willingness to work hard are not always enough without the addition of technical skills in finance, economics, marketing, accounting, and other business disciplines. The degree of Master of Business Administration is recognized throughout the world as providing the broad base of knowledge needed for a career in general management or any area of specialization.
An MBA from AIBEc is the best international business education you can get without leaving Moscow. The AIBEc MBA is designed to meet international standards for quality and content while serving the special needs of Russian students. AIBEc students study under professors with internationally recognized academic qualifications and international teaching and management experience.
Structure of the program
The AIBEc MBA requires completion of at least 15 courses with a grade of C or better in each course, plus demonstration of proficiency in English and basic quantitative skills. Each course consists of approximately 42-56 academic hours of classroom instruction. Courses typically meet once a week for three hours during the 14-week fall and spring semesters, or twice a week for 7 weeks during the summer semester. Regular attendance is required. In planning their schedules, students should allow at least 6 hours per week for homework, reading, and study in each course, in addition to time spent in lectures and seminars.
Normally the maximum course load is 3 courses during fall and spring semesters and 2 courses during the summer semester. Students who take the maximum course load every semester can complete the MBA in two years. However, many students with fulltime jobs prefer to spread their MBA studies over a three-year period.
