Purpose of the Certificate in Marketing
This Certificate suits both the marketing professionals who have extensive experience in the area, and for those just starting their career in marketing. To this end, the Certificate allows choosing from a wide variety of marketing courses taught by the Russian and international professional marketing practitioners.
Components of the Certificate in Marketing
To complete the requirements for the Certificate in Marketing, students must complete five of the following courses (Courses Principles of Marketing and Financial Accounting are obligatory):
Principles of MarketingThe course provides an overview of the basic concepts of classic and modern marketing and studies the role of marketing in a modern international business. | Financial AccountingIntroduction to the recording of business transactions and interpretation of financial statements, emphasizing US GAAP. | Sales LeadershipThis course is structured as a series of facilitated workshops, a.k.a. “dives”. Marketing ResearchThis course provides students with knowledge of many marketing research techniques such as market sampling, designing a marketing questionnaire and many others. Students are required to do a project in which they research a product or service in Russia, using the research methods they have learned. | Principles of AdvertisingThis course introduces you to the fundamentals of advertising and covers the historical, economic and social aspects of advertising. | Marketing CommunicationsThis course examines advertising, sales negotiations and other issues of modern marketing. The course is extremely interactive and a significant portion of the class is devoted to business games, presentations, and other training activities. | ||
Personal MarketingThe course provides essential practice of presenting and promoting oneself on the labor, corporate and professional markets as well as in any other social exposure fields. | Public Relations and Social NetworkingThe course discusses current issues in the media, PR and social networking. It compares western thinking and practice with Russian reality. Special emphasis is made on the PR manager function in corporate society, including international PR topics. Social networking and the role of the Internet in today’s media and PR are discussed. | Negotiations and Dispute resolutionThis course covers the theoretical and practical aspects of negotiations and includes many case studies and exercises. |

Strategic MarketingCovers a variety of advanced topics in marketing strategy such as marketing plans, SWOT analysis and other issues. Course is open to students who have previously taken principles of marketing. | Services MarketingThis course deals with the marketing service issues such as customer satisfaction and customer profitability in areas such as financial services, legal services, hospitality, entertainment, health care, education, retailing, transportation and other service areas. |
